" Two bedroom Edwardian flat with balcony and communal roof terrace On the top floor of a handsome Edwardian mansion block, this two bedroom apartment is the perfect home, with an extra room for use as a home office or to rent out. It has that endearing mix of period and funky, urban style that is ideal for young professionals. It?s crisp white walls and dark, mahogany looking flooring in the roomy reception, which has a double- glazed sash window, white alcove shelving and storage, city rooftop views and a modern, relaxed feel to it. The kitchen-diner has plenty of character: there?s an original fireplace-style alcove in the dark-floored dining area, a deep red accent wall and chessboard flooring in the light and bright, functional galley kitchen. You have contemporary white gloss wall and base units with chrome handles in here, butchers block worktops, chessboard flooring and steel racks with butchers? hooks to hang up your pots and pans. What is really desirable about this space though is that it walks straight out onto a wide southwest facing balcony that fits a table and chairs ? just right for a leisurely brunch and growing your own kitchen herbs. You also have access to a communal roof terrace. The main double bedroom nearby enjoys hardwearing, natural carpeting underfoot, crisp white walls, integrated cupboards and another sash window. The second room is currently set up as a study but would make another decent-sized double bedroom. The bathroom is right up to date with it?s contemporary, geometric bathroom suite with chrome fittings, glass-screened rain shower over the bath (to wake you up for the morning commute), white metro wall tiling with black strip and glossy, dark floor tiling. You have the choice of two train stations: Loughborough Junction, which is less than half a mile away, for connections to King Cross and Thameslink Services; or take the 0.6 mile walk to Denmark Hill for trains that will get you to Victoria in ten minutes. You can also hop onto the ?ginger? East London Overground line from here to Clapham, Shoreditch, Highbury & Islington and Canada Water (for Canary Wharf). From nearby Camberwell New Road, it is but a few bus stops to Oval for the Northern Line. You have both Myatts Fields Park and Ruskin Park within walking distance, plus the shops, bars, eateries and ever-evolving arty scene that is Camberwell with its leisure centre, swimming pool, brand new library and Saturday farmers? market on Camberwell Green. The eclectic, cultural mix that is buzzing Brixton is easily accessible too. "
