HouseSimple is pleased to present this carefully maintained and tastefully modernised 1930's detached house, situated in  Newport, which is the county town of the Isle of Wight.

The house enjoys close proximity to both a successful primary school and an equally successful high school, both of which are  a five minutes walk away.

Parks, tennis courts, leisure facilities, a petrol station and a convenience store can be found just around the corner. The town centre is within comfortable walking distance, although  buses run every fifteen minutes from early morning until late at night for those who need this service.

A bright and airy hallway welcomes you into the house, and from there, on into the spacious  sitting room. This is an east facing room which is always light, bright and  welcoming due to the large bay window.

At the rear of the property the original kitchen and separate dining room have been sympathetically restructured to form a large open plan kitchen- diner which is now the hub of the home. This is a true 'family' space with plenty of room for everyone to congregate. French doors open directly onto a pleasant patio.  An electrically operated awning provides shade from the afternoon sun which floods into this area from midday onwards. Beyond the patio is a medium sized west facing garden.

The original back door of the property now leads into a large utility room which provides excellent storage space and can easily accommodate a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a family sized freezer. This room also has a downstairs wc.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Two of the bedrooms are doubles with the master bedroom being particularly large. The second double has recently installed fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom is a very good sized single.

At the front of the house the paved forecourt provides parking for two vehicles.

The house is warmed by gas central heating and there are radiators in every room. All windows are double glazed and cavity wall insulation (which has boosted the EPC rating), was installed in March 2017. The loft is insulated and water is heated by a regularly serviced Vailant boiler.
