" Just put the kettle on?The exceptional style makes this property ready for a family to move straight into. When I first arrived at this property I was open-heartedly invited inside and within an instant felt comfortable, at ease and in a stylish yet tranquil surrounding?isn?t this how you should feel at home? Pefectly placed just off the A181 the village of Thornley provides the ideal base for those commuting around the region, connecting the A1 to A19, and effortlessly on to Durham. The world really is your oyster from such an accessible base. Within the community there are a choice of churches, primary school, library and post office. In addition to this a village shop and local convenience stores, pharmacy, social club and food places. The vendor told me: We moved into this property as a brand new house and it has been a perfect first home. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside on a safe and peaceful estate; there are often events hosted on the community green and we have a strong neighbourhood watch in the area with a lovely community of neighbours. The house is a great design for a busy family; especially with the utility room and the storage cupboards meaning no space is wasted. We have loved decorating this home and have spent a lot of time transforming the space to the rear of the property from a blank clay-filled space to an established and colourful garden - complete with a huge range of visiting birds, butterflies and bees. The local facilities are fantastic and we are a very short distance from Durham with great commuter links. This house is full of wonderful memories for us and as we move onto our next adventure, this home is ready for its next family to build a life here.Upon entering the property, the spacious hall doesn?t go unnoticed with a white wood staircase leading to the first floor and dark laminate floors running seamlessly to the kitchen. To the front of the property the lounge has a walk in bay window, ideal for a window seat or Christmas tree, which allows a pleasant amount of natural light into the room. The attention to detail can be seen throughout, particularly the cleverly designed fireplace and surround to make a feature in the lounge. Through to the open plan kitchen and dining space, with French doors into the garden this is perfect to keep an eye on the children or even some summertime entertaining which filters naturally outdoors. Upstairs the landing replicates the hall with an open and calm space to flow between the three double bedrooms and bathroom. This property is in the ideal plot within the estate as it is easily accessible from the main road yet positioned in a manner where there is no traffic passing the front door! To the rear of the garden there is a detached garage and off road parking, whilst through a lockable gate the beautiful garden is enclosed and private.
