The house stands back from the road behind a lawned fore garden and is approached over a block paved driveway that provides parking for two cars. To the rear the garden is again mainly of lawn with surrounding ornamental beds and borders. Tutbury offers good local shopping facilities including, chemist, two general stores with off licences, wine store, post office together with craft and antique shops. Regular bus services to Burton on Trent, Uttoxeter and Derby pass through Tutbury, and there is a railway station and Cooperative supermarket at Hatton which adjoins Tutbury over the river Dove bridge. There is a village primary school and secondary schooling around three and half miles distant for which local authority transport is provided. "
