The chalet nestles in the semi rural Hamlet of Westenhanger approximately three miles from Satlwood Village and the coastal market town of Hythe.

Hythe is one of the five original Cinque Ports on the Garden coast. A wide promenade overlooks a long stretch of beach and on a clear day France can be seen. From the seafront the town is on level ground spreading up the hillside in a jumble of little streets containing many Medieval and Georgian buildings. Hythe town and immediate neighbourhood contains many first class facilities for recreation, golf, tennis, bowls, squash, boating, wind surfing and fresh water and sea angling. The Royal Military canal bank provides many delightful walks, as does the varied local countryside.

High speed transport links to London St. Pancras are via Sandling and Folkestone West train stations. The M20 motorway provides links to the remainder of Kent and Eurotunnel in Cheriton offers connections to France and the Continent.
