" In particular roads and areas of Canterbury houses do not often change hands and this is because of the property being, in my opinion, quite special. It is not easy to find houses of this nature and when you do they are not easily let go of.
In this instance I am sure you will fail to find a better example of period architecture that has been cared for and enhanced with such style and elegance. From the moment you step up to the imposing front door which was replaced to match exactly the original and then on into the entrance hall with the original balustrade to the staircase and the cornicing in the living room with the high ceilings and beautiful bay window, you can imagine yourself living there forever.
There have been additions to the house to improve and move with the modern requirements of family life. The kitchen has been extended thoughtfully to provide a much larger area with space for the whole family to dine together rather than the formality of the dining room. It is a social place to be in, and as it opens out on to the garden via the French doors it is easy to see why the sellers spend the majority of their time here.
Upstairs there are the 5 bedrooms spread over 2 floors, ample room for children or guests. The bedrooms have the benefit of wet room style shower room on the first floor and an en-suite to the 4th bedroom on the 2nd floor. Once the new owners take possession of the keys I can see that it will not change hands again for many more years.

What the Owner says:

This has been a lovely family home and we will be leaving with lots of happy memories. We chose this house partly because of the location, having moved from just around the corner and it is great to be able to walk into town without having to worry about parking. We also liked the number of rooms and the way they are arranged over three floors, giving us flexibility as the children have grown up. Our teenage son says he likes having enough space for privacy without feeling separate from the family.
The kitchen is the heart of any home and ours is a great place for cooking while chatting to family and friends. We also love the dining room and particularly use it in the winter when the log fire adds a warming glow to any occasion
