East West Locations Ltd 03-March-2010 09:39 AM
Our 2008 Location Review shows 1,526,780 people living within a 40 minute peak period commute area (recruitment catchment for employers) of the L1 postcode. This catchment scale exceeds Birmingham and Shefield due to lack of congestion in accessing the L1 postcode.

There is a high proportion of females in the recruitment catchment population (51.6% against 50.1% nationally) and there has been growth in the working age population of 3.5% between 2001 and 2006.

631,140 people living in the catchment serving L1 were in work at 2007. The profile of the employed residents is generally younger and more skewed towards females than nationally or in the North West region.

56,400 people attend Universities within the L1 catchment with a further 16,050 postgraduates living here too.

A nice friendly area with local shops, Doctors Surgery, Good local schools. There are no fast food outlets in the WV9 5 post code area. 10 minutes drive from city centre, 15 miles from Birmingham City Centre and 1 hour drive to centre of Manchester. M6, M54 and toll road in easy reach for London, Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester Airports.
