" Rare to the market, this beautiful Grade II listed 'Tea Caddy' house, built in 1822, has been occupied by the same owner for 40 years. Set back from the road behind a spur of the heath and accessed via a shingle carriageway drive, this double fronted, detached house is full of elegance and period style.

On entering the property you are greeted by a sense of light and calm. Either side of the hall are two large, double aspect reception rooms with many period features such as original wide floorboards, working fireplaces and ornate cornicing and stunning windows. A cloakroom can be found at the end of the hall next to the original door to the rear garden. The lower ground floor has an open plan kitchen/diner with a French-style open fireplace, utility room with shower cubicle and WC, double bedroom/playroom, wine cellar, two store cupboards and direct access to a large garage. On the first floor, there are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. A hidden staircase accessed from the landing leads up to a loft room with lots of storage space. This would make an ideal additional bedroom or study.

The impressive 118ft south-facing garden is mainly laid to lawn with mature shrub and tree borders, and the paved patio is ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining. The front of the property boasts off street parking for multiple vehicles.

Blackheath Village is just a stroll along the heath where you will find an array of shops, bars and restaurants. The heath itself is close by and offers an idyllic recreation area with duck ponds and areas of wild flowers. Blackheath Station provides regular services to London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross. There is also a bus stop giving regular and direct access to North Greenwich. Royal Greenwich Park is easily accessible across the heath to the west and there are also a number of popular private and state schools locally, including Pointers, Blackheath Preparatory, Heath House, Invicta Primary, Blackheath High and John Roan.
